Therapy
After completing an evaluation of your needs, some clients choose psychotherapy, others opt for ADHD coaching. In terms of psychotherapy, we use cognitive-behavioral therapy, a solution-oriented approach to treatment that breaks down challenges by closely examining problematic thoughts and actions. The core of this method is developing action plans that teach you the skills needed to be productive and to manage your time more effectively. We also focus on enhancing your coping skills to address the emotional and interpersonal challenges that often occur with ADHD.
ADHD Coaching for Professionals
Coaching is a partnership, with a more targeted focus on improving your executive functioning skills. Coaching can help you sharpen your organization, maintain focus, and optimize time management. Our coaches will provide you with support through one-on-one online or phone sessions rather than coming in to the office for therapy. Your coach will check in on you throughout the week to provide encouragement, to ensure you remain on track, and to promote your productivity. Coaches can support you and hold you accountable for following through on the goals that you establish together. We offer this type of remote support to clients, locally and nationally.
Specialized ADHD Coaching for Students
We also work with students who have attention problems, ranging in age from middle school to college. Our coaches help students with ADHD review concepts from class, help with homework, prepare for assignments, and create a plan for success. We also teach students how to get the upper hand on stress and disorganization that often impede academic progress. Our specialized coaches use research-supported approaches to promote greater focus and productivity, providing support and encouragement along the way. We offer this service remotely to students who are local as well as those from across the country.
